FutureProofTextiles Kick-off Meeting

On 10-11 November in Athens took place the FutureProofTextiles Kick-off Meeting – two days of collaboration, exchange, and inspiration with partners from Greece, Ukraine, Italy, Turkey, Bulgaria and Spain.

This in-person meeting marks the start of a strong partnership to foster innovation in the textile industry, helping SMEs lead the digital and green transitions.

The FutureProofTextiles project aims to support 40 SMEs in the textile industry as they navigate the twin transitions toward digital transformation and green sustainability. The textile sector, vital to Europe’s economy, faces significant challenges in adopting advanced technologies and sustainable practices, especially among small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with limited resources. This project provides direct financial support, capacity building, and collaborative opportunities to empower SMEs and enhance their resilience, competitiveness, and innovation potential.
