Deadline Approaching for FutureProofTextiles Open Call

Textile SMEs seeking support for their digital and green transition have less than one month left to apply to the first FutureProofTextiles Open Call, which closes on 18 September 2026.

The initiative aims to support 40 SMEs across the textile value chain in adopting innovative solutions that enhance sustainability, circularity, and digitalisation. Selected companies will receive up to €50,000 in direct funding to validate and deploy innovations with a Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of 5 or higher.

Beyond financial support, FutureProofTextiles offers a comprehensive package of capacity-building services, including specialised training on digital transformation and circular economy practices, mentoring and technical support, access to best practice resources, and opportunities for cross-border collaboration within the European textile ecosystem.

The call is open to SMEs established in countries participating in the Single Market Programme (SMP). Eligible applicants include textile manufacturers, apparel companies, technical textile producers, recycling and circularity businesses, machinery providers, and technology companies developing solutions for the textile sector among others. 

Applications must be submitted in English through the EU Survey Platform. 

Each SME may submit one proposal under the Green Transition strand and one under the Digital Innovation strand, with a maximum of one grant awarded per company.

With the deadline fast approaching, interested SMEs are encouraged to start preparing their applications and supporting documentation as soon as possible.
